Background information

Initially opened on 12 April 1992 as Eurodisney, the theme park and resort officially changed its name to Disneyland Paris in 1994. It must be said, of all the Disney theme parks around the world, Disneyland Paris has probably had the most Disney-like rollercoaster ride of existence to-date. But, never mind that, Disneyland Paris is now firmly established and here to stay.

How to get there

Located on the outskirts of Paris, you can arrive for your Disneyland Paris holiday car, train or plane.
If you're going by car, the resort is located just off Exit 14 (Val d'Europe Parc Disneyland) of the A4 (Autoroute de L'Est). You needn't worry too much though, so long as you get on the A4, Mickey will start to show you the way once you're in the general area.
If you are going to go via train, you have the choice of either going via Eurostar - right to the heart of the magic kingdom (Eurostar takes approximately 3 hours from London) - or by the local Paris commuter train network (note, however, that if you do use this way to go, you'll need to make sure your ticket is good for journeys outside of the central Paris metro zones, otherwise you may find yourself getting a fine!).
Finally, arrivals via plane ordinarily go to Paris' main airport, Charles de Gaulle. After leaving the airport, you can complete you journey to the park by either road or rail.
